02 JUL – NEW!
Haute Voltige is developing for artistic competition a new way for solo pilots to fly a coordinated air ballet.
It is not a flight in close formation, but a synchronised flight of several aircraft performing at the same time the same figures to music. It also requires a lot of demanding practice since the music itself will be the time reference for all the team members.
We have recently selected four Russian World Aerobatic Champions to be part of the newly formed "Haute Voltige Quattro Synchro Team".
The Russian pilots Svetlana Kapanina, Svetlana Fedorenko, Mikhail Mamistov and Viktor Chmal will make their "debut performance" as the "Haute Voltige Quattro Synchro Team" at Twin Ring Motegi, Japan during the 2007 Haute Voltige Aeobatics Japan Grand Prix 02 - 04 November.
19 JUL – AT AVIASALON WITH PROJECT SPORT
The FAI World Grand Prix will take place during MAKS 2007. This is an exceptional situation as Aviasalon, the official organiser of MAKS, is the first organisation of that type within Europe who is able to host the Grand Prix competition within the framework of an International Aviation and Aerospace Salon.
Previously, we participated in the Paris and Farnborough Air shows as an exhibition only.
The 2007 competition is open to solo pilots, piston engine aircraft, with the view to expand the competition in Russia to include in the near future all types of aircraft and spectacular air sports, including Jets and Formation Teams.

29 AUG – THANKS TO MAKS 2007 & PROJECT SPORT
MAKS 2007 was a great success. The event attracted a public audience of 600'000 and provided a fantastic showcase for Sports Aerobatics.
The FAI World Grand Prix pilots were in the company of exceptional performances by the latest jet prototypes with vectorial thrust and jet formation teams including the Russian Knights, The Swifts and Patrouille de France.
Haute Voltige with the support of Project Sport, our Promoter in Russia, thank the organisers of MAKS 2007 for hosting the 25th FAI World Grand Prix.
01 SEP – XTREME 3000 COMING TO JAPAN
Haute Voltige fans and aerobatic aircraft enthusiasts will be in for a treat this year as the newly released “Xtreme 3000” aerobatic aircraft will be coming to Japan for the 2007 Haute Voltige Aerobatics Japan Grand Prix.
The Xtreme 3000 was designed over a period of 3 years by Philipp Steinbach (one of the four pilots who joined the Grand Prix this year). His dream was to build a new aerobatic aircraft...
After much frustration, and even greater perseverance, Philipp received support from Mr. Harro Moewes, a businessman in the field of electronics who believed in his concept and decided to get behind the Xtreme 3000 project.
The prototype was unveiled in December 2005 and in May 2006 the Xtreme 3000 took to the air for its inaugural flight. Since then Philipp and his team have not looked back and the aircraft is now manufactured by XtremeAir GmbH at their new facility in Cochstedt, Germany.
The twin seater is currently being developed, the single seater is on the production line, and rumour has it that one of the former Grand Prix champions ordered himself one immediately after flying it.
Certainly, the “buzz” is all positive.
Philipp Steinbach recently joined the world of international aerobatic competition and has come a long way in just three short years. His first competition was the 2005 German Nationals where he ranked 3rd in the advanced category. 2006 he moved up to the unlimited category and won the title “German National Aerobatic Champion” and in 2007 he became the "German National Freestyle Aerobatic Champion". This year, he entered his first international competition representing Germany in the World Aerobatic Championships where he was ranked N° 25 in the world (male category).
Philipp is living proof that you don’t necessarily need years of training to be a champion, especially when you are flying a good aircraft…

14 SEP – XTREME 3000 HAS DONE IT AGAIN
Renaud Ecalle has just won the "French National Aerobatic Championships" flying the Xtreme 3000.
This comes only a few weeks after Ludwig Hoffman won the "German National Aerobatic Championships" and Philipp Steinbach was titled "German Freestyle Aerobatic Champion" flying the Xtreme 3000.
Three National titles, in the last three weeks is a great achievement for this brand new and promising aircraft that will be displayed for the first time in the Grand Prix at Motegi, Japan.
Congratulations to the pilots and XtremeAir!
15 SEP – PREPARATION FOR JAPAN
Only 7 weeks to go and the preparation for the 2007 Aerobatics Japan Grand Prix is well underway.
Tickets are now on sale and our Japanese fans can visit the Twin Ring Motegi website for complete event information.
In other parts of the world, the pilots have been busy with their final training before handing the aircraft over to their Engineers for disassembling and transportation to Japan. Aircraft from Russia, Czech Republic, Italy and South Africa are now on their way and the final aircraft from Germany will be flown in late October.
This year’s event will see the Flying Bulls returning to Japan after a 4 year break and with a new slot pilot further to medical issues for Daniel. There will also be some new faces, including Japan’s very own Yoshihide Muroya, the Mazda Team from South Africa, Philipp Steinbach with the new Xtreme 3000 aircraft from Germany and the Pioneer Micro-light Team from Italy.
And of course, let’s not forget Viktor Chmal and Mikhail Mamistov, who in addition to their solo competition flights, will team up with Svetlana Kapanina and Svetlana Fedorenko to bring you the “Haute Voltige Quattro Synchro Team”. Music, maestros!
So, keep 02 – 04 November free and come to Twin Ring Motegi.
We hope to see you there!
